Science, it's a European commission offending women thing

It's only the second time that the European commission has had to hastily withdraw a promotional video after garnering an unsavoury public reaction. Oh, how the institution misjudged the feminist mood when they promoted '#realwomeninscience'; actresses in high heels and sunglasses define the thematic by bouncing around scientific experiments on powder blush and nail varnish. A bubblegum pink background and happy house music accessorise the advert to its very premature death. Science is certainly not a 'girl thing' if these three hip youngsters are interrupting the 'serious male' bespectacled scientist working earnestly in the laboratory, nor if it doesn't address the realities and innovations of the sector. Plus, the 'i' in 'science' is replaced by a lipstick in the logo at the end. It can't get worse
