The ‘Ljubljančani’, as the people of Ljubljana are called, are surrounded by nature in a city offering fascinating views. The banks of the Ljubljanica river cut through the heart of a city whose landscape is marked by two distinctive hills. Ljubljana castle sits tall on one in the centre, whilst the urban Tivoli park sprawls on another in the south, becoming a temporary home to the adrenaline-sport loving Slovenians. Meanwhile, the acclaimed ZEK Crew collective provide a creative green insight into the lesser romantic district, Moste, in the east. Stockholm-based Franco-German videographer Maximilien Van Aertryck explores the green Slovenian capital with his silent, visual filming style for Green Europe on the Ground by cafebabel.com (Video: vimeo.com/maxvanaertryck)
