7.9 million viewers watched the British National party leader and MEP appear on primetime television for the first time since 2001 in political show ‘Question Time’. He criticised homosexuality, Islam and Nazis, whilst defending the Ku Klux Klan. It’s not an unusual thing for the European far right to be mediatised in such a way in countries like Italy and France. In the latter, Le Pen’s 2002 appearance on a similar TV format gained him an election foothold
