Cologne versus Bologna: German students get mobilised

With a monthly income of 760 euros - 400 of which go straight to paying the rent - Cologne’s students feel troubled about their purchasing power, and the future. In 2005, tuition fees were introduced in Germany, and the Bologna higher educational reform process threatens the ‘Magister’. This takes more time to earn and has been replaced in value by the ‘masters’
