I'm Portuguese, a licenciate in Media and Cultural Studies from the Catholic Portuguese University in Lisbon, with a Masters degree in Political Science and IR (Institute for Political Studies, Lisbon) and another one in European History (Leiden University - Sorbonne - Oxford). I'm interested in almost everything in the realm of Humanities, and strive to be up-to-date on other topics. I'm a compulsive reader, movie-goer and performing arts lover. I am also one of the last members of that endangered species: the postcarders. I enjoy a nice conversation over a bottle of wine or a couple of beers, depending on the setting, am learning how to cook and love to entertain friends at home. I've lived in Sicily, Madrid, Leiden, Paris and Oxford. Currently I make my living as a historian, writing the history of the last 50 years of a multinational Portuguese company with investments in many places, mostly in Portugal and Poland. To rest my brain and free my creativity, I write short stories, tales for children and am working on what I hope will eventually become a novel. Europe for me is airplanes, friends, cool events and networking opportunities, and financial bailouts... It's where I come from, where I like to go to, where I would like to live - although home is Lisbon, and it still seems faraway from Brussels more often than not.
