Nothing keeps Europe's mediatic hills more alive than the sound of Silvio Berlusconi's music. His colourful quips, defences and actions are fast becoming cult in the field of national politics

As 8 July comes round, the day he hosts the G8 summit in L'Aquila, Italy, a classic quote from the Italian prime minister, 72. He came out with this pearl at the end of June. The British papers compared his survival tactics with the famous wartime poster slogan, 'Keep Calm and Carry On'.
