Segovia showcases best of European cinema

From November 17-23, Segovia will host its 5th European Film Festival, which will show a total of 92 features produced in Europe. The Official Selection will include no fewer than 35 titles hailing from all corners of the continent, from Russia to the United Kingdom, Greece and Finland.

The event’s aim is different from the logic that motivates the circuit and consists in introducing audiences to quality European productions that have not been commercially released in Spain.

Among the selected films, highlights include nine features that are representing their respective countries in the nomination race for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar: Olivier Masset-Depasse’s Illegal (Belgium), Jan Hrebejk’s Kawasaki's Rose (Czechoslovakia)...
