Today will arrive in Athens the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister, ten ministers and a group of operators who will participate in the Greek-Turkish investment forum.
There is already Turkish officials in Athens that are paving the way for cooperative agreements between Greece - Turkey in the fields of Economy, Trade, Home Affairs, Foreign, Education, Communication, Energy, Tourism and Environment.

Rumour has it that Erdogan and Papandreou will also discuss about GUNS..cutting military expenses. I hope so!

Since Merkel and Sarcozy do not want to take official position for their successful industries, let us be us, the consumers (Greece and Turkey) to decide. It was about time!!! People of the two countries have nothing to quarrel.

It reminds a bit the situation in Israel. A friend of mine and Babelian as well, Dimi recently turned a short film: ‘Together in Israel”. There is one specific scene that I love about the film. Dimi asks Girson Baskin (of Israel Palestine center for Research and Information) “What about the relationship between Israeliens and Palestinians, can improve?”

Baskin answers: ‘’ First of all everything is based in politics…Israeliens and Palestinians are very similar to each other in a lot of ways; we are more similar than we are different. They enjoy being with each other, they can have fun IF THE POLITICS DON T BOTHER US OF GETTING ALONG, once we break down the walls of fear.”

I believe to be the same for Turkey and Greece, it has always been the case. When Greeks where living in Asia Minor since Antiquity, when Turkish arrived, they have learnt to live with them….until politicians appeared to fanatise, order wars and massacres.

But you know what they say, simply put, war is profitable. War is often about greed, not patriotism…
