German Films’ Scandinavia tour will begin this year in Copenhagen, where it will run from November 24-27. The event opens with Cloud 9 by Andreas Dresen, who will present his film to the public and press. Other films programmed are Nana Neul’s To Faro, Tom Schreiber’s Dr.
Alemán [trailer], Christian Petzold’s Jerichow, Lola Randl’s In Between Days, Football under Cover by Ayat Najafi and David Assmann and Emily Atef’s The Stranger in Me [making of].

Jerichow will open the three-day festival in Stockholm on December 5, presented by its lead actor, Benno Fuermann. Dresen will also be in Stockholm with Cloud 9.

In addition, Swedish audiences can look forward to Maria Schrader’s Love Life [trailer], Dr. Alemán, Oezgur Yildirim’s Chiko and In Between Days.

This year, Stockholm will also see a meeting organised by German Films with Swedish distributors for an exchange of views about their respective film markets.

The short films program Next Generation 2008 will be shown again this year at the film school in Denmark, while there will be screenings in regular cinemas in Sweden. In this way, German Films will be able to reach local students directly and give them an insight into the working methods of German film students.
