A special event was held in Paris on 1st July which was attended by delegations from 5 continents to show their support for National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) President, Maryam Rajavi for her efforts to overthrow the mullah regime that has been oppressing the people of Iran for almost four decades.
Iranians attended the event from all over the world, and many notable political personalities and policy makers were in attendance. Delegations from US, UK, Canada, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Italy, Belgium, and France all came to show their support. Many prominent personalities also expressed their views at the event, including Turki Bin Faisal Al Saud, Joseph Lieberman, Jack Keane, Barnard Kouchner, John Bolton, Rudy Giuliani and Newt Gingrich.
All these people had few common points in their speech’s. They all praised Maryam Rajavi and MEK/PMOI for their continuous efforts to free Iran from inhumane treatment of the current regime. They all asked for Iran’s current regime to be put in sanctions and expressed in solidarity that they view Maryam Rajavi as the new leader of Iran. They also expressed joy over saving 3000 lives of PMOI workers and their relocation from Liberty Camp in Iraq to Albania. It is a sign of victory as mullah’s regime is losing its grip over the government and the movement to free Iran is gaining momentum each day with a few speakers going as far as to say that they will see each other next year in Tehran.
Rudy Giuliani expressed that he was overjoyed to see his brother’s in Iraq now relocated to Albania due to Maryam Rajavi and Albanian government’s efforts. He also said that the US government is thankful to them for their humanity and I am in great awe of them. He stated that “We have a different government in Washington, Trump will rid the Iranian people of the mullahs. He understands that stability of the Middle East can only be achieved through Freedom of Iran”. He further added,” Finally on this long road; we can see an end, I don’t know when it is going to happen. I don’t know exactly when this regime will fall, but I am confident it will happen in my lifetime.”
Newt Gingrich came with a simple message, and that was Iran must be free, and the dictatorship must be destroyed. He said that the only realistic goal is to support the movement to free Iran. Trump’s administration has fewer illusions to what Iranian dictatorship is. He said that he was impressed with the growth of the movement over the last eight years and he considers relocation of 3000 PMOI supporter from Iraq to Albania as a victory.
Prince Turki bin Faisal Al Saud began his speech by telling the audience that Saudi Arabia and Iran lived in complete harmony until the Khomeini revolution in 1979. Everything changed after that; peace was replaced with struggles on each side. He further said that we could not stop this regime from creating trouble in our countries.
Joe Lieberman was quick to note that the size and commitment of this gathering sends a powerful message to the government and the people of Iran. He told the attendees that the change in the administration in the US had changed our policy towards Iran. Trump has said during his visit to Saudi Arabia that number one enemy of US in the Middle East is a regime in Iran. It has been the capital of terrorism since 1978 and that the behavior of the regime in Iran has not changed. Lieberman concluded by saying that you can never suppress people forever.
Maryam Rajavi’s speech was greeted with applause from all the attendees she began by thanking everyone in attendance and said,” We welcome the statements made by the regime at the Arab summit in Saudi Arabia. When government becomes destructive of the rights of the people, it is the right of the people to destroy it and have a new administration. Our Resistance has kept alive the flame of hope for victory and freedom. Khamenei and other leaders of the regime must face justice for flagrant violations of human rights and crimes against humanity. The time is up for the mullahs. Children of Iran, rise! Onwards to popular sovereignty”. When she finished her speech, the Iranian people were seen chanting “We are ready” in response to her call for action to overthrow the mullah regime.
