Camerimage honours top cinematographers

On the eve of the opening of the 17th Camerimage Festival in Lodz (November 28-December 5), the list of Golden Frog special prize-winners has been revealed. This year, the organisers will honour Italian DoP Dante Spinotti (whose filmography includes Michael Mann’s The Insider, Curtis Hanson’s L.A.
Confidential and Roberto Benigni’s Pinocchio [trailer]); film directors Volker Schlöndorff (Ulzhan [trailer]) and Terry Gilliam (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus [trailer]); Polish production designer Allan Starski (who has worked with Wajda, Polanski and Spielberg); US editor Thelma Schoonmaker (loyal collaborator of Martin Scorsese); and fellow US producer Richard Zanuck.
