pieta Friday, we make a little pause of contemplation before an animated weekend. Under the tent without pretention, settled in the ‘Cinquentenaire’ Park, hides a rare photography exposition of great quality. Some clichés of the “Pieta” of Michelangelo are presented in a researched scenography, taken before 1972, the date on which a mentally ill gravely damaged the statue with blows of a hammer. Since then, the piece of art of the Italian master, representing the Blessed Virgin holding Jesus Christ detached from the cross, is exposed behind a bullet-proof window, 6 meters behind the visitor, at the Saint Peter Basilica in the Vatican. Through the eyes of Robert Hupka, revealing the “Pieta” under all the angles, never had the spectator been so close to this art work.
