Metaixmio publications, are going to pay a tribute to Alexandros Papadiamantis for the 160 years from his birth and the 100 years from his death.
Papadiamantis was one of the most important greek writers of the early 20th century ans is regarded as the ''Apostle of Modern

Hellenism'' since he provided a nostalgic view of rural Greece with an idiomatic language which was closer to the people's language instead of the archaistic literary language.

On the 8 of April, in ''Polixoros Metaixmio'' (Ιppokratous 118, Αthens), Greek writers, scholars, actors and ordinary people will be able to read texts of Papadiamantis, in a event which is going to last all night and will be directed by Costas Akrivos.

For those who love painting as well, they will be able to make a portrait of the famous Greek writer. From 1 to 8 pm at the same place, on 8/4 , canvases, markers, pencils and acrylics will be there at your disposal in order to unfold your talent!

The best portraits will be awarded that day, while all the painting will be exposed in ''Polixoros Metaixmio'' until the 18th of April.
