Christian de Portzamparc’s studio will lead an international project to ‘humanise’ the European quarter of Brussels. The aim is to increase the amount of buildings and human activity in the vicinity of the Rue de la Loi. This will be achieved by adding skyscrapers for offices and accommodation, in addition to increasing the amount of school services and nurseries for the workers of the European commission’s (EC) institutions.
